FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT KIND OF OIL IS USED DURING AN ASHI MASSAGE AND CUPPING TREATMENT?
Jaime uses an all-organic sesame oil. It's lightweight and very nourishing for the skin. She also uses many types of essential oils predominantly from Rose Mountain Herbs and Doterra.

WHAT DO I WEAR FOR AN ASHI MASSAGE?
Ashi massage is similar to a regular massage. You dress down to your personal comfort level. You will be professionally draped at all times, so you remain covered and only the area being worked is uncovered. If you are needing low back/hip/hamstring work, nude is best, but shorts/underwear can be worked around.

WILL I HAVE MARKS ON MY BACK AFTER CUPPING? ARE THEY BRUISES?
It depends–most people have some marking that lasts a few days. The marks are NOT BRUISES. The cups pull toxins and stagnation from deep within the tissue to the surface of the skin, so it can be easily removed by the lymph and circulatory systems. The more tension/stagnation you have, the darker the marks. The marks are NOT painful.

IS SHE REALLY MASSAGING WITH HER FEET THE WHOLE TIME?
Yes, Jaime uses her feet during a full body ASHI massage. Many people have stated that it is very hard to tell if it's her hands or her feet. She does use her hands while applying oil and finishing with face and scalp.

CAN I WORKOUT AFTER RECEIVING ASHI MASSAGE AND CUPPING?
It is recommended that you wait 24 hours before engaging in heavy workouts. The body, joints, and fascia continue to release for 8-12 hours after receiving ASHI massage and cupping. Light walking or stretching is totally fine. And of course, drink plenty of water.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I COME IN?
It depends on what is happening in the body. Talking with Jaime after your first treatment will give you a better understanding of what's going on and you can discuss a treatment plan. Booking is easy via her website: Book Online
